Chicago Invite Preview

Who wants to play at 8am on a Sunday? I sure as hell don’t, 9:45 is more up my alley. So you may be asking yourself, “How do I avoid playing at 8am on a Sunday Cozza?” The answer is simple my friend, go 4-0 on Saturday. That includes, but is certainly not limited to eradicate Elephantitis, murdering Michigan Flint, nix the Ninjabears, and finish off FUNK. To quote John Madden “The team with the most points will win the game”, that could not be more true for our situation, but I would like to add my own addition, ß yes I know that’s overly redundant. “The team with the fewest turnovers will win the game.” Plain and simple, black and white, clear as day, right as rain. We have been drilling the basics, running through the disc, doing all the defenses, all of the offenses, and handler and long drills. I know it may have seemed boring, but that’s what we need to do.

The coming weeks will prove what we are capable of, Chicago Invite, Huck Finn, and Whitesmoke. It’s been over a month since we have all been outside, so next week get outside and throw in that Champaign wind we all know and love. Next week is a pretty constant high of 47. So get out and throw next week.
